Safety First

Aidan's growing really fast. his height is now 84cm, which is way above average for his age (and so we've been told). he is one strong boy, and can now reach the top of our dining table and our island in the kitchen. he's exploring each and every corner of the house. as soon as he turned one, we installed all the safety locks and added bumpers and gates. we childproof almost everything in the house.

He loves climbing up the stairs, going in the kitchen, playing underneath the table, reaching for things on the kitchen counters, poking into those socket holes and not to mention pulling the kitchen drawers (alltogether we have 13 drawers and 5 doors at his level). so imagine my concerns and worries.

At this age, he gets curious all the time. we'd better be safe, than sorry. thankfully all the gadgets and gates are made affordably and of good quality here. i just wish it is affordable, and in good quality everywhere in the world as well, there shouldnt be a price for safety.

Kak Zaza,
Aidan is now in the age of 'no walk, just run' right? Hmmm. That shows he's cool, but on another point, it may be dangerous too. There are so many indoor accident can happen even to adults.
Better be safe than sorry Kak. Safety is not to be compromised.

aidan is indeed above average, Nora is as tall as aidan now, and she is way older than him! even in school she's the smallest ; ) Samalah our apartment every nook & corner is child proof Z. Nora tho very short can slimb faster than spiderman i think heheheheh Good luck with Aidan adventures.

yup, rambo J is not much diff from Aidan (tho very diff in size).. we need our house to be extra secured from our dear Rambo J.. he is now into mimicking us.. guess what he did recently? he took my step (those that i use in the kitchen to take things from higher cabinet), step on it to open the higher drawers... so more rempah ratus end up on the floor.. grr..

Hi za,
Been there, done that.I can understand your worries. Children at that age are usually very2 'busy' because curiosity tu lebih dr segalanya. But it's part of the learning process. We adults have to be alert and ahead of them. Don't under estimate your children's capabilities but at the same time don't restrict them too much in the process. Keep an eye. It is tiring but better be safe than sorry. Most importantly, even though skrg ni ada mcm2 childproof safety gadgets, don't rely on them solely k? Cause accidents can happen anywhere and anytime. Take care za...hee....hee....sikit lagi siaplah fifi pulak kena bersilat kejar ferran.....
